Mazda 3 Sedan Review

According to an official Mazda release, the Mazda 3 series is set for another round of updates. 2021 changes focus on the new Mazda 3 GT variant, adding backpack styling that was not available before. And the base model Mazda 3 sedan, or ฟอร์ดเอเวอร์เรส in Thailand language remains largely unchanged. However, this is not a bad thing.

Of all the Mazda models, the Mazda 3 series is the cheapest. After this update, the price of Mazda mid-size sedan may go up. Mazda 3 sedan is competitive in the car market and can compete with Toyota Camry, Skoda Octavia and other similar models. Despite the slow pace of updates, the Mazda 3 sedan is still a capable performer. Although not a race car, the Mazda 3 sedan Sport mode somewhat mirrors the dynamic performance of a race car.

The Mazda 3 sedan is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic front-wheel drive. The GT and flagship Atenza variant come with a more powerful turbo. The Mazda 3 sedan starts at ,590, at least 00 more expensive than the entry-level Toyota Camry and Skoda Octavia. Meanwhile, it's about ,000 more than the more interior-focused Honda Accord and Volkswagen. While its rivals are in a completely different segment, Mazda has carved out its own niche in this area as well.

Of all the Mazda 3 variants, it's easy to overlook the Mazda 3 sedan and its higher-spec equipment. Although the Mazda 3 sedan is a relatively inexpensive midsize sedan, it doesn't disappoint at all with its equipment. Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, electric parking brake, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, flat-screen display, car lights and wipers, distance-hold cruise control, auto-dimming interior and push-button start.

If you spend a little more, you can also get additional gadget packages like power adjustable front seats, leather seat trim, front park sensors, Bose premium audio, proximity key entry and LED daytime running lights to join the list. There is no doubt that all of these features can improve the user experience. Take myself as an example, I have an obsession with the key-less entry feature. Because I think it seems like a stupid set of actions to take a key and turn on the car before putting it away and pressing the start button. The infotainment system features an 8.0-inch display that uses Mazda's usual MZD Connect system, rather than the Connect system found in newer models like the CX-30. This means that the car's control panel retains its touchscreen, but loading times are also slower and the system is a bit more responsive than it should be.

The interior of the Mazda 3 sedan is also comfortable. In 2018 Mazda has updated the interior, which also offers a smoother, more minimalist look. Lots of metallic and soft surfaces are paired with each other for a strong visual effect. Better yet, Mazda retains the physical controls for key functions. The steering wheel has a full set of buttons for climate control, infotainment system shortcuts that are also available on CarPlay. the Mazda 3 sedan also has a very spacious interior. The roof line is sleek, so both the front and rear seats are very accommodating.

Mazda 3 sedan also has increased space in the front seats so users have more legroom. The seats are all placed with beautiful cushions that look like denim material, which looks chic and is very sophisticated and refined with the dark tone color scheme. It is also worth to mention its driving comfort. When you analyze the ride comfort, the savvy market becomes more apparent and stingy. So to be honest, the Mazda 3 sedan provides a quite excellent driving experience.
