High fashion at affordable prices is now a reality in Lake George, since an business concept that’s proven successful elsewhere in the Capital Region has recently arrived in Lake George.

Reboutique, a consignment shop at 2199 state Rte. 9 in Lake George featuring stylish clothing and accessories, has been open for three weeks and has been very popular, according to proprietor Tina Cacckello.

Reboutique is located adjacent to Tina’s Hair Affair, which Cacckello also owns and operates.

“The business has been very well received by the public, Cacckello said, noting that Reboutique is the only high-end consignment shop in the area.

While the concept has proven very popular in the well-to-do suburbs of the Capital Region, it hasn’t been introduced until now in northern Warren County.

Cacckello’s approach to her enterprise offers both buyers and sellers distinct advantages.

Those shopping for high fashion are assured that Reboutique’s wares are either new or gently used; plus those selling their clothing and accessories receive 50 percent of the sale price rather than the 40 percent that other consignment shops pay, Cacckello said.

“At Reboutique, people can find really fashionable clothing at an affordable price — for example, instead of spending 0 on a stylish cocktail dress, they can get it for here.”

Reboutique’s inventory includes women’s clothing, suits, special occasion dresses, jackets, handbags, outerwear and shoes.

Cacckello said that her store offers a pleasant atmosphere.

Reboutique is neither overcrowded over-stuffed,” she said. “It’s easy to navigate and find things. The store has the ambiance of a boutique, and not a thrift shop.”

On Nov. 28, Reboutique will be participating in Small Business Saturday, offering special incentives. Then on Saturday Dec. 5, Reboutique will be holding a Grand Opening, featuring complimentary gift certificates, door prizes and gift certificates, Cacckello said.

Reboutique is open Monday through Saturday — from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

One heartwarming aspect of Reboutique, is that if people don’t pick up their unsold clothing, it’s donated to North Country Ministry’s thrift shop, where it will likely find a home with someone whose family is in financial distress.

The charitable aspect of Reboutique doesn’t end there. In two weeks, the store will be holding a four-day event in collaboration with Women in Need — 20 percent of all of the store’s proceeds of transactions during Dec. 7 through Dec. 10 will go to the local Women in Need effort, while consignors continue to get their full 50 percent, Cacckello said.
