With a long history dating back to 1063, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is the most important Shinto shrine in Kamakura, and the spiritual and cultural heart of the city. Dedicated to Hachiman, the patron saint of samurais, the complex contains several shrines and museums, and is a popular venue for festivals, weddings, and other events. Guided by architecture professional, learn and witness the 400-year history of Tokyo through the surviving traditional and the innovative contemporary works of architecture. Built in 2005 by Ando Tadao, Omotesando Hills is a shopping complex in Tokyo that holds 130 stores and 38 apartments. Historian and architect Terunobu Fujimori's studies in the 1980s into so-called architectural curios found in the city inspired the work of a younger generation of architects such as the founders of Atelier Bow-Wow. Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Momoyo Kajima surveyed the city for "no-good" architecture for their book Made in Tokyo in 2001. Their work in turn seeks to embrace its context rather than block it out. Although their office in Tōkyō is on a tight site they have welcomed the city in with huge windows and spacious porches. It was sometime during this period that the hidden roof, a uniquely Japanese solution to roof drainage problems, was adopted. The grounds are quite large and are a lovely , leafy and serene walk. There is very nice shrine inside too which is worth seeing and a venerable old tree that survived the atomic bomb blast. Japanese architect 外壁塗装 広島 Junya Ishigami, an alumnus of Kazuyo Sejima & Associates who set up his own firm in 2004, built the House with Plant between 2010 and 2012. Bridging the space between landscape and architecture, this house has a garden space in the double-height interior and glazing that reveals the planting inside the house, to the outside. Its architecture is inspired by the archaeological site of Sannai Maruyama, a vestige of the Jomon era (15,000-3,000 BC) located right next to the museum. A path leading to the historic site passes in front of the museum. Located in Kyoto, this traditional Japanese guest house features free Wi-Fi and a free public computer. A seating area and shared bathroom are provided with each room at Guesthouse KYOTO COMPASS. Free toiletries are provided and blankets are available upon request. A shared living area and bicycles are available for guests’ use during their stay at this Kyoto Guesthouse Compass. The guest house is 4.5 km from Imperial Palace and 2.2 km from Kyoto Station. After the completion, the house becomes a gathering place for people, including parents and children of the owners living nearby. The atmosphere of the house will continue to change as the plants grow. The residents have a largely indoor lifestyle, and wanted windows from which to view the woods and Mt. Ikoma, as well as walls on which to display the Japanese-style paintings that they enjoy creating as a hobby. So far, the architectural essential elements have always been discrete, but nowadays as technology progresses the distinction between a wall, a window and a pillar becomes more vague, permitting architecture to become limitless. Some of the earliest structures still extant in Japan are Buddhist temples established at this time. The oldest surviving wooden buildings in the world are found at Hōryū-ji, northeast of Nara. The Kon-dō, in the style of Chinese worship halls, is a two-story structure of post-and-beam construction, capped by an irimoya, or hipped-gabled, roof of ceramic tiles. A guest house designed for young people, at Koya-san, the headquarters of the Shinngon sect founded 1200 years ago. The house’s role is between a dormitory and a hotel, where privacy is protected, yet communal activity is also prioritised for its inhabitants. The thin wooden structure that is based on a simple construction technique, was designed with the ability to be expanded. Nijo Castle and Toji Castle are within a 30 minutes’ bus ride away. Continuing through the garden takes you to the Sekkatei Teahouse, added to Kinkakuji during the Edo Period, before you exit the paid temple area. Outside the exit are souvenir shops, a small tea garden, where you can have matcha tea and sweets, and Fudo Hall, a small temple hall which houses a statue of Fudo Myoo, one of the Five Wisdom Kings and protector of Buddhism. The statue is said to be carved by Kobo Daishi, one of the most important figures in Japanese religious history. Each floor has a different architectural styleKinkakuji was built to echo the extravagant Kitayama culture that developed in the wealthy aristocratic circles of Kyoto during Yoshimitsu's times. On floor five, there is a display that includes a folding panel about the siege ofOsakaand the situation at the time, which served as a model for the currentOsakaCastle, all of which is available in English. On the seventh floor, there are miniature models that tell the story of Toyotomi Hidetoshi’s life, while the top floor is a viewing area that takes in all ofOsaka. Nijo Castle was constructed in 1603 as theKyotolodging place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who had secured victory in the Battle of Sekigahara. It was later remodeled into the form ofNijo Castlethat is seen today by Iemitsu, the third shogunate. As a flatland castle, the structure was built on a larger plot of land after the territory of thedaimyohad increased. The wide left route heads for the rear of the castle while the right mountain route heads for the castle tower. By all means, take the mountain route since it will take you to the remnants of the Otemon Gate and the stone wall that will evoke those days which cannot be done if you take the wide route. Both sides of the high wall measure 19.6m in width and the dry moat measures 20m in depth; these two were included as some of the defensive measures for the castle. The huge well known as Ohtsurui which has also been called an emergency exit is a must-see. Himeji is a beautiful city surrounded by sea and mountains in Hyogo prefecture, boasting one of Japan’s most iconic national treasures. The most prominent feature of the city is Japan’s most enduring and preeminent feudal fortress, Himeji Castle.
