Wilderness Changes of Runescape

The total Wilderness area have been reduced to40% of the original size. This leaves a decent area for players to run around and this makes it easier for the PKers to find and fight each other. Beisdes, no legitimate PKers would have any reason to take unnecessary non-combat items into the PKing area. When you enter the PKing area, a new mechanic which gives you a random 'bounty' target is added to Wilderness area. In this way, people can no longer randomly kill you and take your goodies and run away as long as you are a person's specific 'bounty'.

'Bounty Hunter in Wilderness areas

PKing area in Wilderness areas is called 'Bounty Hunter'. This is a dangerous activity. You need to kill another player in one of the three craters of the Bounty Hunter volcano which indicated three Combat level. Of course, you can get the this player's items once you killed them successfully. Note that you will also be tracked by other players at the same time and you will lose all your items if you die. 

Clan Wars in Wilderness areas

Not far from the Bounty Hunter volcano, there lies Clan Wars - a battleground for the many clans in RS. Any player in a Clan Chat channel who has a 'Captain' rank or higher are able to start a clan war by right-click another clan's captain (or higher) or 'Challenging' them in the Clan Wars challenge hall. One won't lose any thing on dying in a clan war.
