So much has been happening in the New builds Bournemouth front. Among the top news this year is the much hyped Private Sector landlord Company that was proposed in June this year to help in meeting the growing housing need. The company is obviously a step in the right direction for Builders Bournemouth as it is likely to see development of more new housing projects aimed at aiding the housing of the helpless and homeless people of Bournemouth.

The company is supposed to purchase properties in the area, offering the much needed ease for private landlords to directly rent to those placed under the council’s statutory homeless duty. It was also proposed that the council buy additional New builds Bournemouth directly, without involving the company, so as to offer somewhat diverse tenancies at different levels of rent. It was expected that Builders Bournemouth could benefit from the boom created by the purchase of about 60 properties, within Bournemouth, at an approximate cost of £10 million̴̴ spread over a duration of three years. This could immensely help the council by presenting it with a more cost-effective way of executing is statutory homeless duties.

The council confirmed that it was under pressure, with a reduction of government funding; to execute its homeless duty in support of helpless people in the municipality, who don’t have anywhere to call home. Hence the council had to look at more creative ways of meeting this demand and the purchase of new builds Bournemouth enables the council to operate like a private landlord hence rent to the homeless people directly.

The move could immensely reduce the costs, for instance, by doing away with the use B&B accommodation that was deemed expensive. Given that he council will own the properties, it would be in a position to ensure that the properties are of high quality and managed well. Any proceeds generated from the properties increase in value, will in the long run come back into the council to aid in funding more services for the homeless. The properties would be purchased through loans and upfront council funding.

After the proposal was backed by the Bour4nemouth Borough Council, in late June this year, there was an agreement that the first purchase of properties could take place over summer.  This move is definitely set to immensely boost the new builds Bournemouth market as well as benefit many Builders Bournemouth.
