Boogie Board Review, Scribble N' Play and Jot 4.5 - Great Sub GiftsPosted by Jamison Perry on June 13th, 2021 Welcome to Daedalus, and today we are reviewing the boogie boards. This one here is the scribble and play with color burst. What is color burst? Well, as you saw that opening there allows you, when you draw all different colors, so if you're not familiar with boogie boards, let me take you through it, but this is real simple and that's what we love about the simplicity. There is one button on a boogie board, this erases right here right, so you draw with your finger. There'S no on switch, there's, no charging it up. Anything like that. You pick this thing up like you, would a pad and pen right and you drop, but the cool thing with this one is look at those multi colors that come through there and also as opposed to having to rip up a piece of paper, throw it out When you're done with it, no you press the button. It disappears so um whole idea here is just really fun to doodle notes. Things like that you can make the argument that it's environmentally friendly, too she's, not wasting paper, want to show you on this one. One of the nice things on back years: you can kind of slip your hand in here, so if you want to have it this way, you can hold on your hand, and just kind of you know again just draw it right on there like this, then the Only other quote-unquote features are there. Are these on the end here, I'm gon na take these far off for for little styluses and I'll. Give you a close-up of those but just want to stress, and if you lose that use your fingers, you know you, don't you don't need these, but I'm just going to show you take you through quickly these four stylus that you get with it all right. So here they are and basically just different patterns on them. So as you bring them onto the screen like this one with the circle, I don't drop. It go like that. You can kind of get just like a different pattern going with it have different tips. So you can have a different rather than they're just straight. This is kind of a thicker one like that, so they do two different drawings. So that's what there are just different patterns on them, I'll just gon na flip them over. So you can see there. macbook air for web development go see the different patterns on this and different fronts to it, but real simple and like I said I mean if you lose these, you don't have to worry about. Well, now it's not going to be functional. I'M not gon na be able to use it as long as you don't lose. All ten of your fingers at once. You'Ll still be able to use it because you just drawn it so really cool. You know I mean we know that these have been around awhile, but this one, the color versus scribble and play is cool and with the holidays coming up, it's under 30 bucks so makes a great gift, but we've another one to show you as well. Next up in the boogie board line, we have to jot 4.5 and this one is really cool what it's translucent. So it's just cool. You can see the kind of little bit of circuitry in the battery in there and that's always fun for the kids. But the reason why it's translucent is that allows you to trace things. So let me break this. One out has a little cover here, I'm going to take that off and then you can use this again. You can always with any boogie board, use your finger. Don'T wan na you know you get it too complicated. There press the button races just like the other one, but this one comes with this cool stylus here and allows you to draw just like anybuggy board. But as you see, it's translucent, why you ask what allows you to do things like learn your letters by tracing it and we're going to show it actually comes with a number of flashcards. So it's really good for that. So, let's bring in the flashcards, we'll show you how that works all right. So the jot 4.5 comes with a number of flashcards and, as you see, instructions about how to draw the lines on different letters be obviously a little bit more complicated than C. But I also want to show you there two-sided and there's some cool stuff here, where you can work on your penmanship kind of draw a number of C's DS. So let's show you how it works. You got these flashcards, but of course you can put anything in there, but it is nice that they do give you these flashcards. So here's how it works. What'S neat is that that plastic covering I was showing him before it was out enough. Your a but a see if it's actually a plastic cover in here this just snaps on and off it can be used as a protective cover for it right. So it almost looks like a smartphone or something when you have it on the front. But then you just take it over turn it over and snap it on to the back, and then it allows this, which is really cool, so it becomes cumple holder for that flash card. You can slide them in and out and then you simply if I want to practice, writing my letters I seen it sell me out cash and start a line down this way. Oh that's a terrible eh, but I go like this and then I go like that. So that's very sloppy, but so then they pull it out and you can see how close they came to it. So, just a neat idea that you can just slide these so there's this little opening right here, slide them in and out press the button and you're off to the races again practicing your penmanship and hopefully I'll, come out better than mine, but the translucent part of It is neat, and you can also then trace things, so I'm gon na take off the back here, so you don't want to use flashcards, but I want to put this on a comic strip or something like that, and I want to practice my drawing you know Either portrait or landscape so again, because it's fully translucent well, I want to trace my hand right. I can start doing that. I really need to work on my skills, but just just another neat twist on the whole boogie board thing that this is translucent, so it adds that element to it. So there you go. There are two boogie boards inexpensive make great holiday gifts. Like I said, I mean he's been around a while, so might have seen some of them, but I think the line is really expanded nicely. I like the way they're doing it with this plastic, covering here the translucent look of this one's really cool. The color burst, though, is probably my favorite. I'M just gon na bring that in real quickly again just to show you the two, so the color dose is really nice and of course you can use anything interchangeably if you like this kind of pin to do that.
