The material used on these screens are joined to the roller while the opposing side is connected onto a siding bar on the bottom and upper tracks. It is the bar that moves to close or open the screen, and the bar is typically held in place by a magnetic closure. There are different kinds of mesh fabric options including solar screen, pet resistant, fiberglass and more.
 
A retractable door screen may be motorized or run manually, though the motorized ones are usually for large doors.
