Ever watch this movie; "Who Killed the Electric Car?" starring Ed Begley Jr. and Phyllis Diller; directed by Chris Paine. It's an awful site for anyone who loves the environment. We hate to see the smog when we look out over a cities horizon, but we do. Cars are known to cause the most pollution out of any culprit. After learning this why are we still driving in those gas guzzling polluting machines? Well, this movie sheds a little bit of light on that.

True, electric cars are trending upward. If you have been planning to go with the trend, here is a list of electric cars for 2011, as reported by car manufacturers, news sites, and blogs.

There is another form of pollution that we just have learnt to live with as well. Some call it white noise other's just call it a @#%^& in the backside. They're the ones who live near busy streets.

Great for urban environments, this electric car is based on Think City, which was introduced in the market last 2009. Although both Think Open and Think City has similar specifications (airbags, mp3 player, Bluetooth technology, ABS), Think Open takes on a different design-an open-top design. Think Open is right at a tight budget. It is one of the most affordable electric cars in the market today.

Electric Vehicles were popular, at one stage there a lot of them being driven on the roads of the United States. This was because gasoline vehicles were very noisy and put out a lot of smoke. The cars either had no mufflers, or the mufflers were not very good.

It is cheaper than running a petrol powered car...but that is not your motivation is it?...you want to make the world especially your little part of it better.

An even faster system is currently being installed in Israel. A Palo Alto company called "Better Place" is building a network of "carwashes." Only, when learn more you drive your EV in, instead of getting a wash job, your spent battery is pulled out and within a couple of minutes, is replaced with a fully charged battery.
