Starting a rock band is often as easy as friends and members of the family who play musical devices getting together to perform and voila! You've just started a rock-band.

Again, both are good, unless you have each goals working against one another in one band!

If you do not know other musicians that will help you start your rock music group, there are a quantity of ways to find a few:

1. Post notices at songs schools/ and music shops identifying which instrument players you are searching for, the type of music you want to play, etc.

2. Post a note on timetravellers or even Backpages.com in the actual "looking for musicians" area.

If you are seriously interested in started a rock band and being a full-time musician, you have to remember it's called the actual music "business.” Be sure you treat it like a company. Unfortunately a lot associated with musicians spend all their time and effort just on the songs side and leave the company part to other individuals. This puts you career and profits the hands of another person, and is exactly how musicians get cheated.

Learn about the company side of promoting your band and become the one who chooses your destiny. Spend a while practicing your skill associated with promotion, and you might just find a long profitable career in music -- all from starting your first rock-band.
