The Gualala Springs is considered to be one of the most famous waterfalls in Florida, although it is not too far from Pensacola. This waterfall, which is about fifty years old, is thought to be one of the country's first natural waterfalls. While Bright Angel Falls is closer to the mainland of Florida, Sunset Falls can be viewed from a boat on the Gulf of Mexico. Either of these waterfalls can take a good amount of time to view. Many Florida homeowners opt to take a boat cruise along the Gulf of Mexico in order to take in the natural beauty of the Florida Keys. Of course, Florida offers other types of natural waterfalls for tourists to enjoy. For those who are interested in nature hiking and wildlife watching, Florida offers quite a few state parks in Florida that provide hiking trails and beautiful views of the Florida Everglades. There are many popular areas for hiking in Florida, including the Southeastern States Park System, the Florida Nationalarcane Systems and the Apalachicola National Wildlife Refuge. For those who prefer wildlife watching over hiking, the St. Lucia-Dayton National Wildlife Refuge is a good place to visit. Both of these popular hiking locations offer wonderful views of deer, squirrels, boars, bears and several types of birds can be seen in the preserve. Many people who like to see man-made waterfalls prefer to visit man-made gardens instead. There are several unique man-made gardens in Florida that provide visitors with a beautiful sight as they explore the natural beauty that is contained within these gardens. One of the more popular man-made waterfalls in Florida is at the Southeastern States Park System. florida is located at the Topsail and Dove Resort in Apalachicola. The resort has four natural waterfalls that are connected to the resort. When considering waterfalls in Florida, there are numerous waterfalls to choose from.
