Remember how stupid you felt when he turned and you saw the Bluetooth headset he was using? Well, it seems like that feeling of “stupid” is here to haunt us once again and it is riding on a horse called SMARTWATCHES. But, let’s get passed the jokes and get down to something serious. Smartwatches are here and they are going to change the way people use their smartphones on a daily basis.

From the time these tiny, magnificent devices made their way into or rather, onto our hands, they have done nothing but make life easier. So, let’s take a look at the best and latest smartwatches that have stopped people from reaching for their smartphones and got them to tap on their smartwatches. What is the latest smartwatch news making heads turn? Let’s find out.

Topping this rather short list is the biggest electronics company in the world; Apple. With products that have revolutionized the foundation of what technology really stands for. The Apple Watch is one of their biggest selling products and it is a device that brings both style and ingenuity in a way that was never imagined before. The device comes with a 38mm or 42mm touch screen display that has a resolution set at 272x340p. The case of the device is made from stainless steel and has an IPX7 rating which makes it water resistant for up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Running on WatchOS 1.0, the Apple Watch is upgradable to v2.1 through a software update. Powering the device is an Apple S1 chip and a 512MB RAM which is backed up by an 8GB internal storage capacity. It connects to an iPhone through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and NFC enable wireless payments. A 250mAh battery keeps the device going for about 4 hours of talk time.

Moto 360 (2nd Gen)

Although the Apple Watch is a great looking and performing device, the price tag on it can be very putting off. On the other hand, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is an equally great smartwatch and is priced lower than its competitor. The device looks like what it is meant to look like – a watch. A round 35mm display with a resolution of 360x325p makes the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) look absolutely stunning. A Snapdragon 400 Quad Core processor that clocks in at 1.2GHz is built into the device. There is a 512MB RAM and a 4GB internal storage capacity. Powered by Android Wear, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) brings the latest technology in smartwatches to the user. Powering the device is a 300mAh battery that lasts for more than a day of normal use. It can track user heart rate, steps and other vital signs and comes with an IP67 rating which makes it dust and water resistant.

There you have it. The best smartwatches available in the market right now. Even though they might come at a pretty steep price tag, they deliver on every aspect of the latest technology being offered. Apple and Motorola are two of the biggest manufacturers out there and with these devices, they are only readying themselves for greater glory in the near future.
