In a year that brought us some of the best tech toys, 2015 was all about one manufacturer; Samsung. With smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, smart televisions and even virtual reality gear, the Korean giant was never out of the spotlight. But their success didn’t stop there. In fact, last year was just a stepping stone to what 2016 has in store. With leaks and rumors about the “A Series (2016)” towards the end of last year, we can be rest assured to see something spectacular in the coming 12 months.

Samsung. A name associated with the biggest selling consumer products the world has ever seen. But if you haven’t heard of the other products that make up the Samsung brand name, you would have at least heard of their smartphones. Whether it’s the older Wave Series or the latest A Series, it isn’t possible that anyone hasn’t heard of the Samsung smartphone collection. But we look to the future and see what the company has in store for the year ahead. We take a look at the newest A Series from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy A3

Announced and released last month, the Galaxy A3 is the smallest in the family. Sporting a 4.7 inch HD Super AMOLED display at 720p resolution. Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and powered by a Quad Core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, the A3 is a speedy device. Built with a 1.5GB RAM and a 16GB ROM which is expandable to 128GB, the device gives users a chance to store all their favorite content. There is a 13MP camera on the back with LED flash and autofocus while the front holds a 5MP camera. A 2300mAh battery supplies power to the device that lasts for more than a day of normal use.

Samsung Galaxy A5

The second device is the Galaxy A5 and it comes with a 5.2 inch FHD Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1080p. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and an Octa Core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. There is a 2GB RAM and a 16GB ROM that is expandable to 128GB. A 13MP and 5MP camera takes its place on the back and the front of the device respectively. There is even a fingerprint sensor for added security. Powering the device is a 2900mAh battery that has a talk time of up to 16 hours.

Samsung Galaxy A7

Housing a 5.5 inch FHD Super AMOLED display, the A7 is a great device from Samsung. It, like the previous device, is powered by an Octa Core processor clocked at 1.6GHz but gets an upgraded 3GB RAM. The same 16GB ROM, which is expandable to 128GB, is found on the device. A 13MP primary and a 5MP secondary camera is located on the device. The A7 too comes with a fingerprint sensor and unlocks the device within a second. A 3300mAh battery keeps the device going through the day.

Samsung Galaxy A9

Pushing in all the latest mobile specifications into a single device can be tough, but Samsung has almost achieved perfection with the A9. It has a massive 6.0 inch FHD Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and should be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Powered by a Quad Core Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, the device is capable of pushing through any task. There is a 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM that can be expanded to 128GB. A 13MP primary camera with OIS, autofocus and LED flash is found on the back and the front houses an 8MP camera.
