The Presidency of Religious Affairs has issued a statement regarding Hajj and Umrah prayers. In the statement, regarding the rules for the pilgrimage, which was postponed due to the coronavirus, “As the 2020 pilgrimage could not be held due to the Kovid-19 outbreak, the lot and registration rights of the pilgrim candidates continue for 2021 as well.” it was said.

In the statement, it was stated that Umrah could not be held this year due to the coronavirus, and it was reported that since the pilgrimage could not be held in 2020, the rights of the pilgrim candidates to draw lots and registration will continue in 2021 as well.
NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE WITH SAUDI ARABIA
The full statement of the Presidency of Religious Affairs is as follows:
“Due to the intense questions from our citizens regarding the Hajj and Umrah prayers in 2021, the following statement was needed. As the 2020 pilgrimage could not be held due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the draw and registration rights of the pilgrim candidates continue for 2021 as well. Negotiations are continuing with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia regarding the Hajj in 2021. The decisions to be taken as a result of the negotiations will be shared with the public.
UMRA CANNOT BE PERFORMED
In addition, Umrah visits from our country will not be possible due to the delay of the normalization process of Saudi Arabia until after Eid al-Fitr.
