Wilmington Memorial Library enhances the community by encouraging the pleasure of reading and all-time learning and is a hospitable place for noiseless reflection and community association. The Wilmington Memorial Library provides all customers with a polite and contented library experience. Wilmington has long been known for its place on the map. But it is Wilmington's long custom of volunteerism of helping each other and of community involvement that really makes this place on the map a great habitation to be called as home.

If you are in grades 9-12 and require community service hours, we advise you to check out the Teen Book Buddies Application in the library. Wilmington Memorial Library provides a range of volunteer opportunities for both the teens and the adults alike. The volunteer assignments are prepared on the foundation of the library’s requirements. The library tends to make every struggle to use a volunteer’s matchless skills and talents. So, get ready for Wilmington Library Teen Council in Wilmington that is to take place on Wednesday, the 27th of January 2015 at Wilmington Branch Library. You need to be there at 1300 N Avalon Boulevard, Wilmington, California 90744 at 12:00 P.M. In case you are concerned or interested to volunteer, please go through the Volunteer Policy and fill out the form. Make a call to book a Torrance taxi to transport you to the desired location of the event.

At the meeting, it will be decided what types of books, music, comics & DVDs the library needs to purchase for the teen collection. It will be discussed on how to progress the obtainability and quality of the Library’s collections and facilities to the library users in all service areas. There will be a discussion on how to recover the accessibility of the library’s collections, amenities and physical facilities for the community. You get to receive double secret volunteer credit! So, you are invited to be a part of this meeting and relish tasty snacks & cold beverages. The event, however, will repeat itself on various days – 27th of Jan 2016, 24th of Feb 2016 and 30th of March 2016. Bring your friends along to participate in the meeting and share useful suggestions. There is sufficient parking space where you can park your vehicles hassle free.
