Android 3.0 And Windows 7 Mobile Competiton in 4Q10!Posted by Branin on August 11th, 2010 Will Google Remain Champion or Be De-Crowned by Perhaps Their Greatest Rival? Since the beginning, my top favorite competitors in the smartphone battle have been Google and Microsoft, Google with their newest software, Android 2.2 (Froyo), while the windows counterpart seems to be lagging behind in sales with the aging 6.5 Mobile OS, the Google OS appears to be off to a good start, but my question is if they are going to be able to keep their spot. Citing industry sources, the reports have revealed that the Taiwan-based company will introduce in Europe the Mondrain, based on Windows Phone 7, and the Vision dual-core, Android-enabled smartphone in October. So now we wait, I'm almost in the mindset that Google will not stray too far off of their current path, and I almost vision the new software to look similar to the 'Gallery' app in most major Android devices, which is a very unique and smooth interface, at the same time I wonder if they dare to surpass our expectations and go beyond the book, I do know Microsoft will almost be playing with a 'Zune' type look and feel, which is a look that is totally different, but have yet to hear or see much more about it as of yet, However, Verification of both the Android's 3.0 (Gingerbread) and WP7 have been announced and are soon to be pushing the phone lead developers such as HTC, and Samsung into revamping the hardware, providing better screens, dual core processors, and overall better specs. I for one am loving the sounds of HTC's rumored Vision however I can't yet be sure until we wait and see just what Microsoft has up their sleeve. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure, we have an intense neck-and-neck battle arising between the two massive companies in 4Q10, and I'm almost sure this shall be more entertaining than watching Google crush the IPhone (perhaps). Sit back and wait, this is going to get good! Like it? Share it!More by this author |
