As more and more aphids grow on tree you will see the leaves dropping and lifelessness in branches. Also when the aphids attack citrus tree you can visibly see the sap dripping from leaves. The sap falls on other leaves and plants which attracts ants that feed on it. So, whenever you see ants attacking your citrus tree it might be time to check it for aphids.

  • Orangedog Caterpillars: These are large insects varying in length of around 1.5-2” and are brown in color. They damage the citrus tree by eating its leaves. Whenever They attack the tree you will always see a small segment of leaf chewed or absent. The adult ones lay their eggs over new leaves thus exposing them to further damage. These insects can lead to rapid defoliation of a tree.
