Mud Pump- Working Principle

Mud pump is machine which convey drilling mud or water and other flushing fluid during drilling. It used widely mechanical pump in today society and plays an important part in the drilling equipment. It has two main performance parameters namely displacement and pressure. What’s more, its structure is simple and operation is easy. Because of its small size, the transportation and use is very convenient.

Mud pump-working principle

Commonly used mud pump is apistonor plunger. The pumprotation of the crankshaft driven by power machine. Crankshaft drives the pistonor plunger to do reciprocating motion inthe pump cylinder through crosshead. Under the action of alternating suction and discharge valve, it achieves the purposeof nippingandcirculatingfluid.

Mud pump achieves the purpose of cooling the drill bit, and sending and removing the cuttingdowndebris by letting surfaceflushing medium (Water, mud orpolymerfluid) through High-pressure hose taps and drill column, central hole and reachthe bottom of thedrill bit undercertain pressure. According to number of cylinderspump, the mud pump can be divided into Single-cylinder, two-cylinder, triplex and other forms. Mud pump usually used in geological research work and coalminesandother groundengineering. Overall, mud application marketisvery broad, such as mining, paper, printing and dyeing, environmental protection, graphite, gold, ceramics, oil refining, petrochemical, chemical, farm, salt, iodine field, dyeing, brewing, chemical fertilizer, coking plant, building, gold, mud, sand, mud, dirt pond, sending dirty liquid suction thick paste thick liquid, loading materials and suspended substances in wastewater operations.
