5 Ways To Use CBD To Promote Flawless Health

Background

The popularity of CBD is booming. 33% of American adults have tried CBD, according to SingleCare. With more than a third of Americans trying out this supplement, many may wonder what the popular supplement is.

Let's first clarify the confusion between hemp and marijuana before plunging into the way CBD is created. Hemp and marijuana are forms of cannabis, but to be classified as 'hemp,' it has to be cultivated under a hemp scheme and contains less than 0.3% THC. Conversely, marijuana plants contain more than .3% THC and are grown in countries that have been legalized on a recreational or medical basis.

Step 1: Hemp Plant Planting

The soil is prepared and tested for herbicides before the hemp seed is sowed into the ground. Hemp is a beautiful plant as each plant can be planted very closely - close to four inches! This makes a higher yield with less land use possible. Hemp is an outstanding resource for regenerative farming because it can help return nutrients to the ground during crop rotation. Hemp generates high biomass quantities (a matter which returns to the soil and decomposes, feeding nutrients back into the ground).

Step 2: Hemp Plant Harvesting

Everything begins with the hemp plant's flowers. The most common concentrations of cannabinoids are in the resin glands of the plant trichome.

The plants are usually harvested around October, in accordance with the state's climate. The sample of each crop will be tested and cleared by the state department of agriculture before it can officially be harvested. This ensures the farm keeps its hemp at less than 0.3% of THC in accordance with Federal Regulations.

Cannabinoids have become a popular natural remedy over the last few years. Known commonly as CBD, it’s been used to treat everyday ailments like anxiety, insomnia, acne, and pain. CBD is a chemical compound found in cannabis or marijuana. THC is the psychoactive ingredient found in cannabis and causes a “high” feeling.

However, CBD doesn’t contain this property. This makes it an ideal option for those who want medicinal properties without the mind-altering effects. So what kind of benefits does CBD have?

CBD May Help Reduce Pain

CBD helps reduce chronic pain because it reacts with your endocannabinoid receptors in the brain. In addition, studies have shown that it reduces inflammation. For example, one study with mice found that CBD injections reduced their pain response to surgical incisions. Another found that oral CBD significantly reduced nerve pain and inflammation.

An oral spray called Sativex (CBD and THC combination) is used to treat pain related to multiple sclerosis in several countries. In one study with Sativex, those with rheumatoid arthritis found a significant reduction in their pain at movement, rest, and improved sleep quality.

CBD May Help Maintain Healthy Skin

Acne is a common problem amongst most people. Acne is thought to be caused by bacteria, underlying inflammation, and overproduction of sebum. CBD has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties and sebum reduction ability. One study found that CBD oil prevented sebaceous gland cells from producing excessive sebum. It also prevented the activation of cytokines, an inflammatory agent.

Other studies have found promising results in skin cell regeneration, which helps heal burns or blisters. Another found that CBD topicals stop free radical oxidants from damaging the skin and causing wrinkles or fine lines.

CBD May Improve Sleep

Several factors cause poor. You might suffer from a mental health disorder or a physical condition. Medication for these might also interfere with sleep. You might have a night of poor sleep due to environmental factors like an uncomfortable bed or loud noises, or a poor diet filled with caffeinated beverages.

Studies on CBD have found that sleep improved within the first month with as little as 25mg for specific disorders. For example, Parkinson’s disease had improved REM cycles and less RBD (a sleep disorder that causes nightmares and acting our dreams).

Other studies found that CBD promotes wakefulness and decreases excessive daytime sleepiness. The research is still unclear as to why it promotes wakefulness, but more studies are being conducted on sleep and CBD.

Full Spectrum Oil

Full spectrum CBD oil has been found to deliver a more enhanced effect because it’s derived from specific cannabinoids and terpenes. This increases the benefits you experience. Those that suffer from multiple combinations of disorders like sleep and pain or mood disorders and pain may benefit from this type over another.

However, you want to make sure the brand you purchase has been rigorously tested for safety and quality like Naternal.

CBD May Be Beneficial to Your Heart

CBD may reduce the risk of heart disease. How? It reduces hypertension (high blood pressure) in people. A study conducted found those treated with CBD had lower blood pressure before and after exposure to stress. This study used nine healthy men who took 600mg of CBD and a placebo to compare results.

The study also found that the men’s heart pumped more efficiently. So while it isn’t definitive that CBD treats hypertension and that hypertension is caused by stress, it does indicate that it might be a helpful complementary therapy for those who experience stress, anxiety, and have hypertension.

CBD Might Lessen Anxiety and Boost Mood

Anxiety and other psychological disorders are treated with pharmaceutical drugs. Unfortunately, these drugs can cause unpleasant side effects like insomnia, headaches, drowsiness, or sexual dysfunction. Some of these medications can even be addictive. Fortunately, CBD oil has shown promise in studies as a treatment. In one study, 57 men were given CBD or a placebo before performing a public speaking test.

Stay On the Current News

The study found that 300mg of CBD significantly reduced anxiety felt during the trial. Other studies have found that CBD reacts to the brain’s neurotransmitter serotonin, which regulates mood and social behavior.

CBD has been hailed as a natural way to treat symptoms of various ailments. Over the years, it has grown in popularity. While the research on CBD is recent and not as in-depth, it has shown promise in treating the most common ailments people suffer from. As the research grows, it becomes more evident the safety and efficacy of CBD.
