Puddle Flange

The Puddle Flanges are used to seal around the outside of pipes that are required to pass through concrete structures. They are installed during construction only. The Pipes passing through concrete will not bond to the concrete and water can pass along the external surface of the pipe. Our Puddle Flanges act as a barrier to this flow.

Puddle flange is used to prevent the penetration of water, along external pipe surfaces, of pipes that pass through different kinds of structures made of concrete, such as floor slabs, manhole chambers, tanks, basements, shafts, etc. Puddle flanges are installed during the process of construction and they are a very effective way of sealing the area around the outside of the pipes that pass through different kinds of structures made from concrete. There are a number of benefits to using puddle flanges and some of these are: 1) Ease of installation. 2) Excellent strength. 3) Cost effective. 4) Can withstand heavy loads. 5) Can be installed in ceilings, floors and walls.

Puddle flange sizes are many and these can be in the range of 25 mm to 1299 mm. Fitted puddle flanges have outer diameters ranging from 100/110 mm and this is larger than the pipe on which they are meant to be installed. The puddle flange dimensions are designed in such a way that they can fit pipe sizes of 50 mm — 100 mm. Puddle flanges have been designed so that they can prevent leakage from happening around pipes and pipe lines and thus puddle flange application are many, such as their use in plumbing, gas injection, etc. Puddle flanges are used in various areas such as tanks, floors, manholes, shafts, walls, pools, etc.

GI puddle flange specification can be obtained in various specifications, including the likes of blind flanges, threaded flanges and weld neck flanges, to name a few. These types of flanges are available in sizes of 20–30 inch and they can also be tailor-made to meet the specific needs of clients. The material standard of these kinds of flanges are ANSI B16.5, ASTM A182, ASTM A105 and ASTM A351. GI stands for Galvanized Iron and these types ofpuddle flanges are coated with zinc and this coating of zinc reacts with the atmospheric carbon dioxide and oxygen to form zinc carbonate and zinc oxide and results in galvanized iron puddle flanges being able to provide protection against rust.
