Locate which side of the computer's motherboard is attached and remove the other side panel in front of the CPU unit using a screwdriver. Be careful not to touch any part of the card or any of the cables. two
Use compressed air to blow air through the computer CPU fan and any other air vents in the case.
blow air around the internal components, starting at the top and blowing air and debris to the bottom. Finish by clearing all debris from the bottom of the unit.
Clean the inner panel with a static-free cloth until it is free of all debris.
Dip a cotton swab in alcohol and wipe around all edges and openings on the outside of the CPU. Use a second cotton swab to dry each area you clean.
Repeat the cleaning process every six to eight months on your computer's CPU. For CPU units that sit on the floor, in homes with pets, or have smoke around, clean every three months.
