From last decades co-working concept is increasing day by day. The people who often benefit from the co-working are freelancers & startups but from last few years Philippines chose to work in a co-working instead of traditional offices.  Coworking spaces in the Philippines has its pros & cons choosing a growth of which path you take. 

From last few years there is a dramatic caused that how Philippines perceives work. Now work is no limited to 9AM to 6 PM. Hunched over a desk typing away at your keyboard while your boss is breaths down your neck.

Mostly people like to work in a flexible, collaborative & supportive environment for their goals. In the Philippine new co-working spaces are popping up every year. There are 130 co-working spaces are scattered in Metro Manila.

 There are some groups that gain a higher benefit from the co-working environment. Many freelancers enjoy   20-30% bigger earnings than their employed counterparts & they spend less time as compared to other employees. 

 When a global brand seeks to expand in the Philippines they often hire a country head or similar role to set up an office or hire a new team. But because they lack human resources to do the expansion in full force, they need a co-working space where they can temporarily set up camp while they’re looking for a permanent office, processing the business compliance requirements, and recruiting new members

Pros & cons

Co-working spaces provide a sense of community for its member where interaction & collaboration is promoted and encouraged. Sharing the workplace with other means giving growth to your knowledge & skills 

There is a chance to boost your network in co-working. The employee of Philippines can only actively expand their network after office hours & they can join industry conferences & weekly happy hours, etc. 

A co-working space is a fertile ground for innovators & Leaders they can fulfill their desire goal in this environment. Surrounding yourself with creative & hard-working people makes you grow & inspired you to achieve your goal

  Traditional workplaces are often penetrating with nasty office politics. On the other hand, co-working offices are specially designed to create an environment where feverish people from different fields can find meaningful connections and opportunities. With this kind of culture, they don’t directly work with one another but also have the liberty to collaborate on certain tasks or activities with whomever and whenever they want to.

There are also some disadvantages of co-working.

  •   Distraction & a lack of privacy 
  •   Personality conflicts
  •   Having your competitor in same workplace

 If your co-work, expect to witness the most horrendous work habits of someone noisily slurping their warm coffee or another person loudly talking over the phone. A higher dosage of patience and understanding is required for this kind of situation.
