For the leak to happen the displayed  website a combination of the flaws, and during the adoption of the cf-html about 0.00003 of the websites were affected. These is a huge number considering  In about 3.3 million websites one was affected while cloudflare provides services to over 7 million websites. The leak dates back to about 2016 from when the use of the new parser had started to be implemented  but since it happened at a small rate was not quickly noticed.

Prevention

• Due to the leakage of the data, it is strongly advisable for users to change their passwords or other confidential login information. Having a complex password is always a good way of ensuring safety as a machine will take longer to crack it.
• Be on the lookout for any activity you find to be suspicious and report it to relevant authorities
