When you look in the mirror, do you see wrinkles starting to appear on your face? Has your skin started to show some of the tell-tale signs of aging, like crow\'s feet? Are you sick and tired of noticing all the worry wrinkles, folds, or lines? Fortunately, you must not let this become the “new normal” You can remove wrinkles with an effective and long-lasting dermal filler called Juvederm

What is Juvederm?

This is a specific type of dermal filler that is injected into the skin to restore the volume, vitality, and youth of your skin. Unlike other dermal fillers, it uses a component called hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that your skin already contains.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a chemical that everyone has in their body. When this hyaluronic acid is present in your skin, it acts as a moisturizer. Adheres to water, adds volume, and prevents skin from drying out. Unfortunately, as we age, our natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease, causing our skin to lose volume. When this happens, the surface begins to show wrinkles, lines, and creases.

We all age differently, but in some cases, the lines on our face can become especially noticeable over time as the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases. In these cases, a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler is the perfect remedy.

How does it work?

Your healthcare provider will inject small doses of the filler into the desired treatment area. There are several specific types of Juvederm, each suitable for a different area of ??your face. When you go to a clinic for a treatment session, you will come out with small amounts of the filler spread evenly across this treatment area, be it on the cheeks, lips, mouth, or some other area.

When hyaluronic acid gets into your skin, it will start to bind to water and retain moisture. You will usually see some results right away, but it will take a week or two for the filler to settle into place. After this adjustment period is over, you will see ideal results, typically lasting one to two years.

What type do I need?

The type of filler you need will depend on the treatment you want. Although hyaluronic acid is used in all of these cases, the lips, cheeks, and facial lines will require a slightly different composition. Our medical staff will talk with you in depth about which exact type is ideal for your treatment area, you can also go for a quick wrinkle remover to remove wrinkles.

What should i avoid before treatment?

Once you\'ve met with your provider and chosen a treatment option, you\'ll want to do a little preparation for your session. Juvederm before and after photos is an incredibly quick and easy treatment, especially compared to other more extreme options on the market. However, there are a few things to avoid to make your session more comfortable and effective.

Aspirin

The week before treatment is an important time and you want to make sure your body is in top shape for the injection. As a result, we recommend that you do not use any aspirin-based pain relievers (such as Bayer). Also, it\'s helpful to avoid Motrin or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (or \"NSAIDs\" for short).

The reason for this is that these pain relievers can affect the bloodstream in a way that can potentially lead to bruising due to treatment. To avoid this, it is best to choose a different pain reliever for at least five days before the treatment session.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is widely taken for its beneficial impact on the immune system, as well as its potential to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. However, it can have a similar effect on treatment as aspirin and NSAIDs, so it is not recommended for 7-10 days before treatment.
