How To Plan Your Ninja Course

Posted by Sandy Lopez on October 4th, 2021

Looking to buy a Ninja line, but not sure where to start? Some of the most common questions our clients have are: What measurements do I need? How do I know which line to buy? Do oversized trees make a difference? Can we continue to use the line if we don\'t have trees in our yard?

Find out which line to buy:

When you figure out where you are going to set up your ninja course, you will first want to find 2 healthy trees that the line will hang between. To make sure you are buying the correct length of line, you will want to measure the circumference of both trees and add this total to the distance between the two trees.

Note that you will want a few feet of spare line to be able to tension the line with the ratchet system. If you have two trees that are each 3 feet in circumference and 26 feet apart, the 36 \'kit will work perfectly in your yard, leaving about 4 feet of line to tighten the ratchet.

We have 36 \', 56\', and 40 \'lines, as well as 15\' extensions that easily connect to any of the kits. Find out which one works best for you!

What to do when you have extra-large trees:

Each kit comes with a 6 \'ratchet strap that will wrap around a tree. Don\'t worry if none of your trees are less than 6 \'in circumference, there are two simple solutions for this!

How to set up a treeless Ninjaline

The Ninjaline has been tested to be installed on both trees and poles. There are a few things to keep in mind when installing poles in your yard.

First, make sure the ground you will be installing the posts on is a safe and smooth area for the Ninjaline to use.

Second, you\'ll want to make sure the soil your garden sits on doesn\'t contain underground utility lines or pipes that complicate the process. You can call 811 for more information on this.

Lastly, we recommend using 6x6 posts made from STRONG wood, such as spruce, cemented into the ground a minimum of 4 \'deep.
