Taking the right foods is essential to look beautiful skin without imperfections. If you think you’re not doing everything you can to avoid acne and that you’re not eating a healthy enough diet, this post is for you so… Let’s get started!

What is acne?

Acne is a common skin condition that happens when hair follicles under the skin become clogged. Oil and dead skin cells clog the pores, and outbreaks of lesions (often called pimples or zits) can happen. Most often, the outbreaks occur on the face but can also appear on the back, chest, and shoulders.

HYDRATION YES, SUGAR NO

One of the most important things we need to know to keep our skin healthy and in top condition is hydration. It is really important to drink the recommended amount of water per day (6 liters) to keep our skin healthy. So you know, if you are one of those who do not drink too much water, it is urgent that you change this bad habit because not only your skin will notice but your entire body.

On the contrary, sugar is one of the elements we should avoid in our diet. We refer to the sugars contained in processed foods or harmful to health because, taking the recommended amount a day using healthy food for it is not bad. However, if we abuse sugar most likely our pores will be filled with dirt and acne will worsen. The same happens with fats, the uncontrolled intake of them makes our skin expel this excess and our pores become clogged, thus favoring the appearance of pimples.

FAREWELL TO ALCOHOL

Alcohol is a real enemy for us and, as it could not be otherwise, also for our skin. Its ingestion encourages the appearance of pimples and imperfections, so if you suffer from acne problems, it is best to try to avoid it at all costs. The important thing is to maintain good eating habits every day, adopt a healthy routine that we will begin to see reflected in our skin soon after starting.
