Reid Champagne is living his American dream as he is one of the 50 funniest American writers and romance authors, who drafts the best travel books of all time. In his book, An American Walkabout, Reid Champagne writes about the journey of innocence, naiveté, overreach, and Magoo-like self-discovery in the year 1971 when a man had set sail to Europe with 0 in his wallet. He writes in his book, \"if a tree falls in the wood, wouldn\'t it like to know it had made a sound?\" The fine blend of satire outshines as Reid recites the experiences of a young man in his debutant book.

This may be the only book Reid Champagne published, his words outreach much further through his blog. He writes the best stories based on real-life events that his audience resonates with greatly. Here\'s quoting some of the best stories by Reid Champagne on his website, reidchampagne.com.

Relationships — The Raising of a Husband

Despite being one of the most renowned satirists, Reid Champagne is forced to switch his tone when it comes to long-term relationships and his ladylove, Carol Madigan. In his blog, \'Paper Thin Margins\', he writes, \"Carol is the Steve Irwin of spouses. The first scientists to examine the platypus thought it was fake, stitched together from parts of different animals. Carol saw me as real, though stitched together from several different, mild personality disorders, and embraced me anyway.\" It\'s only been a year since their marriage, and he\'s written tons of sequels about it already!

Travel — Domestic & Abroad

With the COVID-19 lockdown in place, Reid Champagne and Carol Madigan were forced to cancel their wedding reception. But did they stand back? No sir, they fled from their hometown the very minute the lockdown eased, and they got their COVID-19 jabs. They made their way to Iceland, the only place willing to entertain tourists, which also happens to be Reid\'s dream travel destination.

Through camping, fishing, and visiting famous localities, they spent over two weeks in Iceland celebrating their first summer vacation in full swing. But by the end of it, as much as Reid thought they could do just about anything, he also thought that he didn\'t want any more of that with someone who was always geared up for hiking. Lifestyle -ish — Life After 60

\"\"Reid\\'s\"

The one where Reid Champagne proudly makes his way to the theater for enjoying chick flicks. He writes about letting lose the fear of ostracization to accompany Carol Madigan to a premier. Read more on his best picks this season on \'Chick Flicks For Guys\'.

Mouthful — Eats, Drinks & Cooking

One fine Christmas, Carol Madigan gifted Reid Champagne a pasta maker after he vocalized his interest in making homemade pasta for the fun of it. Little did she know she\'d have to be sorry about it soon with the never-ending \'pastabilities\'? The first of the pasta-making adventure consisted of a flour dam, literally flooded with water, but Reid\'s betting it was the manufacturer\'s fault who assumed he was the son of an Italian household.

{SMH} Shake My Head — The Sultan of Satire

Excerpts from \'How To Train Your Reid\' — every day is an opportunity to learn something new. Over the past three years of cohabiting, Carol has been training Reid to practice good householding. In this week\'s edition of training Reid, Carol Madigan declared the pushing in of chairs of the dinner table a necessity post getting over with dinner. He may not have been very keen on making the best, folding the towels and clean clothes, or putting toiletries in their drawers, he does give it his best shot to be the husband Carol dreams of him to be, but with a pinch of sarcasm. God bless Reid!

Day Tripping — Everyday Comings & Goings

\"\"Reid\"

The one where Reid is challenged to a miniature golf tournament despite it being a life or death struggle for him:

Reid partnered with Carol\'s 13-year-old grandson to play golf on a carpet with miniature Eiffel Towers, active volcanos, and everything else that was less likely to make sense. To his surprise, just before making the shot, Reid found himself wondering how many people jumped off the Eiffel tower annually.  When you play golf, you\'re supposed to integrate positive thoughts into your all head for that near-perfect shot. But Reid could only focus on the deaths at the Eiffel tower that never made it to the public — later that day, he found that since 1898 when the tower first opened, there have been a total of 349 deaths by suicide.
