Fuel Price Hike: Petrol Rates In Mumbai at an All-Time High as It Cross INR 111-

The state oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of petrol and diesel for the second consecutive day today, October 15, after a two days gap.

With this, fuel rates have touched record high levels across the country on the occasion of Dussehra 2021. The pause on the prices on October 12 and 13 came after a seven-day consecutive rise.

According to reports, the petrol rates were hiked by 34-35 paise while diesel has become costlier by 35-37 paise. The rates vary from state to state.

After today’s hike, petrol price in Mumbai has crossed the INR 111 per litre mark. Moreover, with diesel prices rising sharply, the fuel is now available at over INR 100 a litre in several parts of the country.

Here’s the latest price of petrol across metro cities

Mumbai – INR 111.09 per litre

Delhi – INR 105.14

Chennai - INR 102.40 per litre

Kolkata – INR 105.76 per litre

Bengaluru – INR 108.80

Here’s the price of diesel across metro cities

Mumbai – INR 101.78/litre

Delhi – INR 93.87/litre

Chennai - INR 98.26/litre

Bengaluru - INR 99.63/litre

Kolkata - INR 96.98/litre

Meanwhile, in a staunch attack to the Central government-led by BJP, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Raut after yesterday’s hike, October 14, said that the process of burning one demon (Ravana) that is petrol and diesel prices will begin from tomorrow i.e., Dussehra and in the year 2024, the demon will be burnt completely.
