Process Control Classes

Process control is the act of managing and organizing different processes in order to optimize workflow.

In computer programming, Process Control is the ability of a program or user at one point in time to alter another running program or interrupt service being provided with either prior knowledge or without prior knowledge. For this reason many operating systems provide ways for programs to protect themselves from such actions by other processes even though they are both sharing the same machine at the same time. Furthermore there needs to be some way for these protected subsystems to communicate between each other so as  to control the overall system.

Control Systems Courses

Control systems engineering is a discipline that uses control theory to analyze the behavior of dynamic systems. It has increased importance because of industrial automation, process control and microprocessor-based instrumentation. The goal of this curriculum is to give students a strong background in modern system design as well as an understanding on how these complex systems work with each other for their intended purpose.

Control Systems students learn about the design, modeling and analysis of processes whose input is a model parameter. These include mechanical, electrical or biological systems ranging from high-speed trains to chemical plants. There are various areas in which you can apply these technologies including robotics, mechatronics, bioengineering and many others. Control systems courses can help you explore control concepts as well as practical applications of the theory.

Instrument Technician Certification

Instrumentation technicians work in a variety of industries including oil and gas, aerospace, power generation and petrochemical processing. As an instrument technician you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of complex equipment that is used to control processes on industrial plants or automated systems.

Credentials can be earned by demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities in a particular field or discipline. A credential is an official recognition of one’s competency to perform some job role. An instrument technician certification provides proof that you have mastered the necessary skills for operating test equipment on instruments used throughout your facility. To earn this type of certification, professionals must successfully complete testing requirements.

If you\'re looking to get into control systems, like robotics or drones, this is the place for you! We offer a wide variety of courses that will help provide some basic knowledge on how those things work.
