1. Prophet’s Birthday

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was born in Makkah in 571 AD and Makkah is a city in Saudi Arabia. All Saudi Muslims celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

They decorated their homes and mosques. Children recite the naats and naats means poems about the prophet (PBUH). The old Saudis tell stories about the life history of Muhammad (SAW). The date of Milad-al-Nabi shifts from one year to another as per the Islamic lunar Calendar.

2. Janadriyah National Festival

Jenadriyah is a nationally cultural and heritage festival which held every year, lasting two weeks in the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. It begins in early spring and this festival is a combination of living history, military air shows, world fairs and celebrations for all Saudis.

The Janadriyah celebration is catching the great history and bravery of the Saudi individuals since the unification of Saudi Arabia through King Abdulaziz. It was firstly held in 1985.

3. Riyadh Spring Festival

Riyadh Spring Festival attracts more than 150,000 visitors during the first 2 days. This event is organized by the Riyadh municipality, which is being held in 2 places in the capital. A collection of 1.4 million flowers of 10 different types was designed and decorated to provide a natural environment to the visitors.

4. Eid Al-Fitr

Eid Al-Fitr is a great religious festival celebrated by the Muslims all over the world at the end of the month of Ramadan. This is the Islamic holy month of fasting and another name is Feast of Breaking the Fast in English. Eid begins by praying in the mosque and then people visit their relatives and sometimes visit graveyards to pray for relatives.

Ramadan is a holy month and therefore many Muslims perform Umrah during this month. Umrah is the holy journey and it can be done at any time in the year with best Umrah Packages but Ramadan is a holy month, therefore, everyone prefers to perform Umrah in this month.

5. Eid Al-Adha

Eid AL-Adha is a great religious festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world. Allah gave the order to prophet Abraham (RA.) to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail (RA.) and Allah accepted his prophet sacrifice, therefore, Muslims celebrated this day to scarify their halal animals.

It is also called Feast of the Scarifies. It comes on the tenth day of Dahul hijjah (last Islamic month).  Hajj which is a great religious event starts from 8th and ends at the 12th date of Dahul hijjah also comes within days of Eid Al-Adha. Millions of Muslims go to Kaaba to perform the Hajj with Cheap Hajj Packages because it is one of the five pillars of Islam.

6. Unification Of “The Kingdom Day”

Every year, the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is celebrated on the 23rd of Sep.  Therefore, it’s named “Unification of the Kingdom Day”. Many people of Saudi Arabia prefer to celebrate this downbeat holiday.
