Doorstep Delivery Made Simple

Posted by AddrianUSA on May 5th, 2016

You purchase any product online and it gets delivered to you within a week. It does not matter to you how long it will travel to get to you. But it is interesting to know how this happens because, after all, it is TIME that helps e-commerce giants in selling their products.

How e-commerce companies get you what you want?

E-commerce companies deliver the goods in standard packaging material. They have very good knowledge about the International Packaging Standard as they sell globally. Their packaging has to be passed and approved by all the nations. Now look at this closely. You purchase the mobile from Amazon and they deliver it to you. This is an end-to-end business, but have you ever thought of what finishes the process of B2B? It starts from choosing the right seller of your product, making them available for you within the stipulated time, wrapping up the product as per International Packaging Standards, then comes the process of making the invoices of your mobile and providing the item with a unique barcode on the delivery box. This process is followed by searching for the Parcel forwarding agencies in the US if you are in the USA. And finally, your goods are out for delivery with your US address for shipping. But you are happy that you get your mobile within the time limit promised by Amazon.

How will you get the same product if you import?

Now say you are importing the mobile from a seller with a USA address. Do you think the same process will occur which is discussed above? It is slightly different. Here, after paying the money through a Bank’s Letter of Credit, an invoice in your name will be generated and the material will be packed accordingly. The shipping service provider will be called on and the seller passes on the invoice, your package, packing list and address. From now on the shipper will be responsible for your package. Now you should wait till your product gets cleared and approved by the custom authority of the USA. After that, your mobile will fly into your country and again it has to be passed by the relevant authority in your country. Finally, you will get what you have ordered directly from the custom office or the shipping company will hand over your package to you if it has a presence in your country.

In both these cases, we will be pleased once we get our product and we don’t mind what made these deliveries so simple? There follow some stiff processes only known to sellers because what if it gets cracked or you simply don’t like it now? Again, the seller will have to pass through all the processes and what does that cost you? NOTHING my friend as long as you are getting your money back.
