Ocean View Walking Palm Beach Apartments

For the walkers, Blue Ocean Apartment offers endless options for anyone seeking an aquatic outlook. 

The best option is what I call the Currumbin Loop or Blue Ocean Loop.  This walk starts out the front of the complex and is visible from the balcony.  You head south down this pathway and essentially keep following it through the Palm Beach Parklands area and then on through the nature reserve area complete with bush turkeys and butterfly, then on along the Boardwalk through the wetlands area heading up Currumbin River.  The Boardwalk offers great riverfront vistas up the river with hinterland views beyond.  When the tide is in and the wetland area immersed in fresh seawater you can see much small fish swimming along and under the suspended walkway and occasionally a larger one swims under you, it can be a real novelty for the little ones.

Where the boardwalk ends turn left and follow the pathway markings along and under the Thrower Drive bridge and on past the skateboard activity park and then on past the Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club and over a small bridge which leads to the walkway over the Currumbin River next to and parallel to the Currumbin River freeway overpass. 

This bridge walkway takes you to the car park area of the Currumbin RSL Club that sits on the banks of the River.  This is where you turn back towards the home so just follow the path back along the river past the RSL Club, and on past the Rowing club sheds and then on to ”The Boatshed\"  here you will find a coffee shop and Paddleboard and Kayak hire business.

The trick here is to take the pathway down under the Thrower Drive bridge and then double back around and then take the footpath back over the bridge to the other side of Currumbin Creek.  Follow this on until you reach the car park entrance then turn right and cross the car park to meet up with the start of the boardwalk back through the wetland area following the pathway back along the way you came to the apartment.  At the very end of this walk, you get a magnificent view up the coast of the surfer’s skyline.
