Celery Seed Essential Oil is extracted from the seeds of Apium Graveolens, commonly known as Celery Plant through steam distillation of Golden Yellow Flowers. It belongs to the Umbelliferae plant family. Celery’s origin is a matter of debate, it has been known to be cultivated in the Mediterranean area but traces of the Celery variety called ‘Smallage’ has been present in China since, the early 5^th century. Whatever the origin may be, it has been wildly used, not just as a flavoring agent but also as a medicinal herb. It has been known to treat long-term pain such as Gout, Arthritis, Rheumatism, and Muscle Cramps.

Celery Seed Essential oil is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and, insecticidal. It has a warm, spicy and, fresh aroma that is very popular in the perfume-making industry. It is added in Soap and Handwashes for its fragrance as well as anti-bacterial properties. Celery Seed Essential oil is a natural insect repellent and can be added to mosquito repellent and floor cleaners. It is considered an important ingredient in making pain relief ointments and creams.
