Larger launches could have been expected at the end of the year, but several smartwatch makers have decided to start in January. Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e launched all over the world, Fossil has added LTE to its Gen 5 smartwatch and also gave us a new hybrid smartwatch with the introduction of the Skagen Jorn Hybrid HR.

Following in the footsteps of its Fossil Hybrid HR and Hybrid HR Monroe, the Jorn also came with an E-ink display built into the traditional watch face, allowing you to view notifications, track workouts with connected GPS, and view daily steps in real time.

Skagen\\\'s previous hybrid offerings have been some of the more compelling we\\\'ve had to test, and that certainly hasn\\\'t changed with the Jorn Hybrid HR. His approach to adding that smart ability in a more discreet manner hasn\\\'t completely won us over in our Skagen Jorn Hybrid HR review, but it\\\'s clear that while full-featured smartwatches dominated in 2021, there is still room for hybrids.

In February, we had news of new running shoes from Under Armor, another luxury smartwatch from the Hublot Big Bang e Premier League, and speculation that Facebook is working on a smartwatch.

However, it was Garmin that made the most compelling announcement of the Garmin Enduro launch. The all-new line, which seemed to fall somewhere between the top-notch Forerunner and Fenix watches, was a watch https://www.rafiqsonsonline.com/product-category/casio/edifice/ built for endurance athletes, offering features comparable to Garmin\\\'s Fenix ??6X series.

New features included an ultra-running tracking mode with support for tracking stops at relief stations as a rest. Enduro also includes runtime-based VO2 Max, improved MTB trail tracking and an enhanced version of Garmin\\\'s ClimbPro mode.

But the big news was the promised battery life. Garmin said the Enduro can offer up to 65 days (in power saving modes) and 70 hours of GPS tracking - up to 80 hours if you take advantage of the onboard solar support.

In our Garmin Enduro review, we were truly impressed with battery life, which is why it was announced the Sports Watch of the Year at the 2021 Wareable Tech Awards.

In March, we saw Fitbit announcements with the Fitbit Ace 3 unveiled as the latest generation of kids fitness tracker, Movbvoi launched the affordable TicWatch Pro S, and Garmin launched a trio of new gold wearables. However, this month we\\\'ve been talking about smartwatches for a long time now.

Finally, the OnePlus Watch was announced when the smartphone brand finally plunged into the world of smartwatches and decided to tackle the software alone, despite rumors that it would turn to Google\\\'s Wear operating system to conduct a software demo.
