Third Eye Band also known as 3EB is an American rock band that was originatedin San Francisco in 1993.The band is famous for Alternative rock, pop rock and post grunge music. It came into existence when two of its members named Kevin Cadogan & Stephan Jenkins met after a show where they got connected and admired each other’s music. The band then planned and recorded their first demo with producer Mark Hensley. After that, they both became song writer partners and in 1996; this song writer duo signed their very first recording contract with Elektra Records that came out as largest publishing deal ever for any unsigned artist. The Third Eye Blind was their first self-titled album that was released in 1997.

In 1999, the 2nd album they released was BLUE. Though, it didn’t received as much popularity as the Third Eye Blind but it still managed to cross more than 70,000 copies of the album on the first week of release itself. The band continued on with thegaps between the album releases. In the meantime, the band had extensive international touring experience and after that it decided to take a break from their work and appeared only at the charity events. In 2002 during the long gap between the albums, they built a recording studio for themselves in San Francisco and named it as Morningwood" Studios. The reason for building the studio was that “they wanted to feel comfortable while recording for their next album”. In 2003, they came up with their new album “Out of the Vein” along with two of its singles named “Blinded” and “Crystal Baller”. Unfortunately, this album proved to be not as luckyenough as its predecessors.

The Third Eye Blind is the album that topped the Billboard Rock album chart, top digital albums chart and topAlternatives album chart. The two of it singles were also released but never charted on any radio formats. Well, the Third eye Blind spent 104 weeks on the Billboard chart. However the singles were charted in the top ten of the Billboard hot 100, Jumper, How’s it going to be and semi charmed life. This was the band’s best ever selling album that also has been certified 6X Platinum by RIAA. This album has been liked and loved by many of its fans.Do you want to listen to them again?
