Riddles have been around for a very long time and everyone knows their fair share of riddles and enjoys sharing them with others to both entertain and test intelligence.

Riddles have a rich history of being a great way to both transmit data and concepts in literature and academic matters, and entertain the masses. puzzles with answers Looking into history, we can see that riddles have been studied and produced since the ancient civilizations of Europe.

Ever since that time riddles have pretty much been transmitted the same way and have been enjoyed in the same manner. Riddles have always been told from one person to another through literature and word of mouth.

They have always been enjoyed in the exact same way, from person to person or by reading them in a book or magazine (and now on the internet). The tide is changing though, riddles are becoming more than just a relic of a time past and are adapting to increased technology and internet usage, just like most things have.

For the majority of the history of language riddles have been transmitted in either a very personal or impersonal way. They have been transmitted in a personal way when one person asks another person a riddle and then explains the riddle.

They have also been transmitted impersonally through media outlets that explain it in a very broad way that can be understood by everyone. Another aspect of riddles that has remained stagnant is that they have always been personal in that whether you get them right or wrong, there is no outcome.

Facebook is changing this all. Facebook allows people to post riddles as a status and all of their friends can then either comment on the riddle or message them personally to submit their answer.

This creates a sudo personal environment where the personal connection between people discussing riddles still exists but extra people are brought into the conversation and it is done electronically.

Aside from this, if the person gets the riddle wrong there has been a system of marking that has been enacted. People who do not get the riddle right must change their profile picture to something as a sign that they could not figure out the riddle. These are very fun and exciting new twists.

The most popular example of Facebook\'s power to transmit riddles from person to person in this way is The Giraffe Riddle. The riddle has been labeled this because anyone who cannot correctly answer this riddle over Facebook must change their profile picture to a picture of a giraffe. The actual riddle itself goes as follows: \"It\'s 3 a.m., the doorbell rings and you wake up.

Unexpected visitors! It\'s your parents and they are here for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?\" The answer of this riddle was meant to be the door.

You must first open the door for your parents before making the food. This particular riddle has permeated throughout Facebook in its entirety and has become widely known. This new twist to an old form of entertainment may offer some rejuvenation to riddles similar brain teasers.
