When did your love for music begin?

I have long remembered, that I have always been a composer and loved to sing, but it was not until 2018 that I started my music career. I started participating in events around Qatar and focused on building local audiences on social media. The thing I love most about music is that it is a universal language.

That’s why I feel so honored to be a part of this work, I truly believe that like football, music connects and unites people. My music is based on my personal experience, so it is very close, yet I feel that if you listen to it, there will be something relevant to you. That\'s my favorite part of all of this, being able to build relationships with more people with something I like.

How did you feel when you were asked to take part in the FIFA World Cup 2022 Official Soundtrack?

Happy with the madness! It was not something I thought would happen. When I first started singing, I told myself I wanted to do something meaningful; something that could have an impact on this world. I never thought it could be this! I was well aware that the World Cup was coming to Qatar, I wanted to get involved in some way, but this was far from my reality. It was a personal challenge that I had set for myself, but I did not know how it would work out. But here we are!

How did you feel about playing with David and Trinidad?

It was very surreal. I would say it was a dream come true, but I have to say, I never thought I would be able to sing with such great stars in the industry when I started my career. As you can imagine, everything was very fast and unexpected, but it was a blessing. I felt very proud and very happy to be able to work with some of the best artists in the industry.

Tell us how you felt when you were playing during the Last Match.

Performing in front of so many people, and this excludes spectators from all over the world, naturally scares anyone. As I started working, I felt very nervous. What helped was the morning before the game was the release of the song, so I was busy with the good reception we were getting. I was happy and it made me feel comfortable about working out. Before entering the stage, as expected, my heart was pounding. I was nervous and happy. So I took a deep breath and let the adrenaline rush take over. When I got on stage, I just connected with the music and I started to feel confident. From then on, it was a completely different experience. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Do you hope the international community learned about Qatar through your work?

I hope this song starts a new story about Qatar as a source of talent and a place where people can be and create. I also hope that it will change any negative perceptions that people may have about the region and give them an overview of our culture and traditions, and highlight the great strides we are taking around the world. Everyone on stage that day represented Qatar in the world. I am sure that this work has made people very happy to come here.

What impact do you hope your participation will have on the region and globally?

Finding a Qatari lady in a Qatar World Cup song is a big step for the country and the world because it is something that has never been done before. The whole World Cup album is also something that has never been done before.

This song is no different from Qatar\'s promise to break the current trend and surprise the world. I hope my involvement inspires girls and women in the region, and any other artist out there who may have the same ambitions as mine, to reach the top.

I want girls and women all over the world to look at my success and say: if it could happen to her, it could happen to me too. Additionally, I hope my contribution to the song will add a different flavor to the music industry. The song is not something the world is accustomed to hearing, so I hope it will open up a new genre of music that incorporates Arabic words and their stories.

What was the reaction to the song?

It has been amazing. Like I said, because this is the first song I\'ve ever been included in, I was curious to see how it performed. I spent time looking at ideas and was happy to see how much people liked them. It was incredibly rewarding and made me very happy to share my music soon. My family and friends have also been very supportive and loving. It’s funny because I couldn’t reveal that I was doing this until I was released, so many of my friends were very surprised to find out that I was part of this project.
