Could new Ryanair partnership make Andalucia even more of a destination?

As those who own property in Sotogrande or other parts of the Costa del Sol already know, Spain’s southernmost autonomous community of Andalucia is a richly rewarding and intriguing place to live, work and play.

And now, many more travellers from other countries are set to become acquainted with or rediscover the region’s charms. This is largely thanks to an agreement reached between Junta de Andalucia and the Irish air carrier Ryanair, geared towards boosting tourism in the area.

Property in Sotogrande has long been an alluring investment prospect

As property specialists who serve a broad range of requirements in relation to property in Sotogrande – including but not limited to buying, selling and renting – here at BM Sotogrande, we can firmly recommend this highly prestigious Andalucian residential development.

Property in Sotogrande has long shown robust values even at times of economic uncertainty. This has doubtless been helped by the sun, sea and sand, but also the locality’s generous sporting, leisure and dining amenities, and it being conveniently situated as a gateway to wider Andalucia.

Speaking of wider Andalucia, the autonomous community offers a lifetime’s worth of pleasures and stimulations for those who choose to reside here. Whether one is on the lookout for Moorish castles, gorgeous time-forgotten towns and villages, or breathtakingly rugged coastlines, to say nothing of the region’s enthralling cultural diversity, it is all to be found here.

Such a ‘melting pot’ of attractions, activities and mindsets also helps explain why investors seeking a safe bet so often choose to acquire prestigious and luxurious property in Sotogrande.

What implications will the new deal with Ryanair have?

As Europe and the wider world continue to plot a sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, it is great news that efforts are being made to remind people from far afield why they fell in love with this picturesque part of Spain to begin with.

According to reports, the partnership between Junta de Andalucia and Ryanair will include an innovative joint communications campaign, aimed at potential visitors from Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Norway. And if these initiatives do lead to a rush of tourist activity in and around Andalucia, this could be great news for owners and investors in property in Sotogrande.

Ryanair’s Director of Marketing, Dara Brady, said about the news: “This partnership will further promote this beautiful region and Ryanair’s network of low fare routes to Spain, which are becoming increasingly popular among our growing customer base as they plan their well-deserved New Year breaks.”

Meanwhile, Mr Juan Marín – vice-president and tourism minister for the Andalucian regional government – stated: “We are very excited to work with Ryanair, Europe’s number one airline, on this incredibly important campaign promoting Andalucia as an attractive tourism destination for European travellers.

“We are sure that Ryanair’s customers will enjoy visiting our stunning south coast where they can indulge in traditional Andalucian cuisine and take in the stunning sights of our Moorish architecture.”

Is now the time to make your move into Sotogrande real estate?

When it comes to property in Sotogrande, in particular, strong desirability is helping to drive house values up – so if there is an excellent moment to invest, it is surely now.
