Increasing Investment in Construction Project for FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 to Increase Demand

According to a recent Arizton study report, Qatar\'s construction machinery market will grow at a CAGR of 4.63% between 2022-2028. Qatar will host the FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 in the latter part of 2022, boosting investment in infrastructure development across the country. Development projects have been ongoing since 2018.

Therefore, many projects, to be completed by 2022, are expected to expand the market for construction equipment. Qatar has an excellent opportunity to expand its presence in European countries by 2022 due to the ongoing political conflict between Russia and European countries. Currently, the country has a long-term contract to supply natural gas to Asian countries.

However, the current political climate is expected to increase gas exports to European countries in the short term. Therefore, growth in Qatar\'s oil and gas industry will support the need for construction equipment such as cranes and other building materials. The Qatari government plans to invest $ 7 billion in the 2030 national vision.

Doha, Lusail, and Al wirrah will witness a strong investment in the development of roads and highways. Major projects are Sharq crossing in Doha ($ 12 billion), New Doha Port ($ 7.4 million), the Qatar Railways Project ($ 3,456 million), Siraj Al Kharsaah Solar Power Project Al-Sahaniya ($ 462 million), Al Rayyan Stadium ($ 600 million), Al Bayt Stadium ($ 192.3 million) & North Field Extension ($ 500 million).

Qatar\'s oil and gas industry re-energized in 2021, with rising crude oil prices in the global market supporting the growth of the sector. Qatar is one of the leading producers and exporters of oil in the Middle East region and therefore, rising oil prices in the world market are beneficial for a strong economic recovery by 2021.

Sustainable infrastructure and development projects for the FIFA World Cup 2022 have resulted in strong growth in crane demand. Great demand appeared for the luffing jib cranes in 2021. Hyundai Doosan Infracore, Hyundai Construction Resources, XCMG, Zoomlion, Sany, Caterpillar, Volvo Construction Equipment, and JCB are major suppliers in the Qatar Construction Equipment market. Kobelco, LiuGong, Tadano, and Yanmar are some of the prominent traders in the Qatar Market.
