Tips to Design a Successful Full Service EDDM

Many companies out there use EDDM to market their companies to customers. It is also known as Every Direct Door Mail marketing. The postcard mailing service will let you choose the postal routes in the area you prefer and then you can send over the Full Service EDDM on that route.

EDDM is a great way to communicate with the businesses and residents in your target area. When you decide to use the EDDM service, it is crucial that you send out the right message with the appropriate artwork.

So, here are a few tips that you need to keep in mind when you are designing and printing full service EDDM for your business.

1. Headline

Make sure that you start with a simple but bold statement. The headline that you are writing for the EDDM postcard does not have to be long enough but it has to grab the attention of the audience who is reading it.

2. Message

You need to make it clear why people should choose you over your competitors. They need to have a clear understanding of why you are sending the EDDM postcards. There has to be more than you want more business. The ultimate goal is to dig deeper.

For instance, if you have a business of kid-friendly products. To bring awareness to your customers with young children that you focus on some specific kid-friendly products. Your goal is to let people know and you shouldn’t be afraid to do that.

3. Call to Action

The call-to-action should not be missed for your EDDM printing. It is simple but crucial. The call-to-action will tell people what they have to do next. So, make sure that you are including call-to-action phrases, such as ‘Visit Our Website’ or ‘Book Your Appointment Today’.

4. Discount and Coupon

People always love a good deal. In case can offer a discount or coupon, people can be more receptive. Even better if you add an expiration date to the coupon or discount. Even if it is a discount that you are always offering, make sure that the coupon expires a few weeks after they receive it.

Create a sense of urgency and make people act now instead of putting the EDDM postcard to the side thinking that you will get your way around it. But let’s accept that we don’t get our way around it.

5. Contact Details

How would you like your contacts to get in touch with you? Would you like your customers to bring the postcard to the store or visit your website? No matter what you decide, ensure that it is clear and the primary focus of the postcard.

People don’t have to go looking for the phone number if you mention it clearly. The best method is to put it on both sides of the marketing material.

6. Logo and Images

A majority of the people are visual. Apart from a good headline, you need to make sure that the logo is shown clearly on both sides. It helps in establishing brand recognition. Also, it will reflect who you are.

Make sure that you include some substantial photos that serve as the focal point of your EDDM postcards. The images that you are using should not be simple and are not cluttered. Moreover, you should only include a high-resolution image. If it looks blurry and will look worse when it’s printed.
