Meet Angry Birds At A Mumbai Restaurant

As the temperature soars this summer, cravings for soft serves are only natural. And how would you like it if there is a colourful and flavourful twist to it?

Tomorrow, between 4:30 – 7:30 pm at McDonald’s on Linking Road, Bandra, V.P. Road, Khar (West) Mumbai, angry birds will not just welcome our customers’ in-store, but also entertain the guests with some really cool dance moves. Now which genuine Angry Birds fan can miss that?

With a lot of on-ground and in-store styling such as face masks, digital gaming and Angry Bird toys and giveaways with every Happy Meal, McDonald’s plans to promote this multimedia campaign through TV channels and digital platforms. Customers will also get a chance to collect their desired Happy Meals Toys from a category of ten Angry Birds characters.

That is not all. One lucky customer who calls in for home delivery or orders food via McDelivery app will be in for a great surprise. The Angry Birds will take his or order and deliver it themselves. Now, that stuff is straight out of movies, good movies.

Mr. Kedar Teny, Director of marketing, McDonald's India (West & South) said, “Summer is vacation time for most families. It is a time when families relish desserts and cool beverages to beat the summer heat. To add a fun element we have partnered with the mobile game phenomenon ‘Angry Birds’ movie franchise owner Sony Pictures to deliver a real experience to our customers. Our movie vertigration enhances those special moments for family and friends and delivers exciting online and offline experience right from gamification to play the game offline with slingshot launcher as part of our Happy Meal toys to menu integration, merchandising and in-store décor bringing the movie characters alive at our restaurants.

There is no denying that Angry Birds are one of the coolest birds ever. They are loved by kids and adults alike and this movie was a much awaited one. In fact, this would be the most awaited movie of this month, not just in the US, but across the globe. And guess what, Sean Penn is playing Terence! It cannot get better than this. Besides Sean Penn, there is Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph and Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage, though his role is not a meaty one.

So go, watch Red displaying his anger on a big screen. See what makes him angry. But do make sure you grab some burgers and some colourful soft serves before hitting the theatre.  If you cannot choose a flavor between the three cones, just go for your favourite colour. We are sure you won’t be disappointed.

Remember guys, it is going to happen tomorrow, 4:30 – 7:30 pm at McDonald’s on Linking Road, Bandra, V.P. Road, Khar (West) Mumbai. Don’t miss it.
