Result of Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination

The commissioner for the Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala conducts the Kerala Engineering and Medical Examination. KEAM is probably the only entrance test series in India that is conducted by a State Government in India directly. This entrance examination is conducted to offer admission to various courses like Engineering, Agriculture, and Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries and Architectural course. From this year the Medical admission will only be based on the score obtained by the candidates in NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

It is a major entrance exam where near about one lakh twenty five thousand candidates appear for the test every year. This entrance exam is eligible for both Keralites and Non-Keralites. The entrance exam was conducted from April 25, 2016 to April 28, 2016. The syllabus of this entrance test will be based on Class 10 and Class 12 grades. In order to appear for this entrance examination, the candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2016. There is no relaxation in minimum age and there is no upper age limit for appearing in KEAM 2016. This entrance exam was conducted in all districts of Kerala, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. The application fee for the General Candidates was Rs 1000 and for SC/ST category candidates was Rs.500.

Participating Universities: There are 6 Universities that would be accepting KEAM 2016 score for admission into its various colleges & courses:

  •          Mahatma Gandhi University
  •          University of Kerala
  •          University of Calicut
  •          Kerala Agricultural University
  •          Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University
  •          Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies

Result: The result will be declared on or before May 25, 2016 for all courses expect for the Medical. All the candidates will be shortlisted on the merit basis of this entrance exam. Separate Rank lists will be prepared for all the courses. There is no process for revaluation of the published KEAM result and also no process of rechecking of the OMR answer sheets as the valuation or scoring will be fully computerized and error free.

Rank List: The Rank List of the engineering courses will be published only after the declaration of class 12 result that is on or before June 25, 2016. The engineering Rank list of this entrance exam are as follows:

  •          The Engineering Rank List will be prepared after giving equal weightage of 50:50 to the marks secured in the Entrance Examination for Engineering and the grade/marks secured in 10+2 or any other equivalent qualifying examination.
  •          The Engineering Score 2016 will show the total marks secured by the applicant in the two papers of the engineering entrance examinations.
  •          The Engineering rank list is prepared by giving equal weightage to the score obtained in both paper 1 & 2 the Engineering Entrance Exam and the grade/ marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardization procedure described in the Prospectus.
