Being a Good Marketer

There are four criteria you must follow to become an effective marketer.

If you want your business to take the next level (or the first level if you're just starting out), you need to be an effective marketer. Best products, best margins, highest quality, best management, best location, or best personal training can all be surpassed by good marketing. In other words; If no one knows what you have, no one will buy it.

The process of becoming an effective marketer is simple, it is easy, but it does require some effort and some training. If your previous marketing experience is placing a classified ad in a newspaper to sell your car, that's a start, but if you're serious about marketing your business and aren't getting great training or education, So be prepared to lose a lot of money.

The first criterion to consider is to differentiate between what works and what doesn't.

The second criterion you want to consider is separating the cost of what works so you can fit marketing that works into your financial budget.

The third criterion you want to consider is your timing. You want to make sure that the time you spend on your marketing is getting results.

The fourth criterion you want to make sure is that you make a plan to implement it and implement it and get it right the first time.

So, first things first.

The best way to differentiate what works and what doesn't is to learn from people who get results by doing what you want to do. If you want to learn how to be an effective manager, find someone and learn from someone who is an effective marketer. Its all about results.

For example, if you want to learn how to build a presence on the Internet, you may want to learn from someone who has built a presence on the Internet. If you want to learn how to appear in a newspaper ad, you must learn from someone who is present in a newspaper ad.

You can learn about marketing in two ways; The first method is trial and error, which can be very costly! Another way to learn about marketing is to pay someone who figured it out so you can save time and money.

As a side note, we've all heard the saying "time is money" at some point, it couldn't be more wrong; Time is time and money is money. Think about it, if you run out of money you can always earn more, if you run out of time, you are short on time.

So pay people who have the knowledge to pass on their knowledge to you so that you can buy more time to put their knowledge into action. That way, better results are retained and you get your results faster, saving you both time and money.

To differentiate the costs of what works, just learn from your mentor about where your costs should fall. For example, there is a huge difference between the cost of blog writing and the cost of online pay-per-click marketing.

Making sure you have a good understanding of the costs of your marketing and how much it should cost you to get your unique leads will ensure that you don't set false expectations and prevent you from being disappointed because you don't understand. What you do ahead of time are what the results should be and how much they should cost.

In the end, if you know what you're getting yourself into before you enter it, and you know what results you should be getting once you enter it, you'll be much more at ease and won't be surprised. Will cost vs result.

The third thing you want to differentiate is the time you spend building your marketing. A basic rule of thumb in marketing is; Marketing costs you time, money, or a combination of both. Based on your budget, you determine how much time you spend and how much money you spend.

For example, if you have a lot of money and little time, learn about marketing that gets results if you only spend a little money. To qualify the "throw some money at it" statement, make sure you're educated before throwing money anywhere.

On the other hand, if you don't have a lot of money but have a little more time in your hands, learn marketing, which is effective but very affordable.

I believe the best way is to develop a good balance; Be well educated in all effective marketing practices. This way you spend both a little time and a little money and take full advantage of the two marketing methods.

The fourth thing is putting together an action plan. Once you've identified what works and how much expense and time you have to commit to your marketing, it's time to craft your action plan.

Your marketing action plan should be well defined, well planned and based on consistency over a period of months.

Make sure that the plan you are implementing is the same as the one you consistently follow without looking at the results; Consistent results come only through consistent effort and application.

Chinese proverb - "A man runs through the forest and, looking back, hits a tree."

If you decide to implement the four criteria outlined in this article, you will become an effective marketer as well as learn how to become an effective manager.
