Hazard perception test is being carried out from long , but still there is lots of confusion regarding this part of the test. The hazard perception part was introduced by the DSA in order to improve the death and accident rate by new drivers who were observed to be devoid of the skill of looking at hazards and forward planning. On account of thus the hazard perception test in its current form was introduced.

The concept around passing this test is to be able to recognize what is known as a developing hazard against an ordinary hazard. This is the very first keystone to get to grips with to begin with. A hazard is referred to as anything in the clip which is really worth thinking about, but one which does not require any action, however a developing hazard is a hazard which has developed into one which now requires action.

An example of this can be a pedestrian walking along the pavement, this could be classed as a hazard, is to be aware of the pedestrian and at this moment needs no furtheraction. This might then change to a growing hazard if the pedestrian stopped and turned to face the other side of the road and walked across the path ahead of the car, this might then require action and you would click on the mouse to check that action.

At this moment you would then obtain a score depending on how fast you noticed the developing hazard. Like you may score 5 for clicking a mouse after they first go to step onto the road, whereas clicking a second later when they are fully on the road may only score 1 or 2 if anything. The skill then is to practice this and to use a theory test software package that will let you review you sleep so when you clicked to see how close to the start of the hazard you got.

The more one practice this section of the theory test the better you will get and you will start to recognize certain hazards that may happen in various situations thereby enhance your driving skills. Your trainer will be able to help as well with this on your driving lessons, but for further information and help with this part of the theory test you may visit various online sites.
