How to effectively increase sales by using in-store Promotion?

Marketing is a very complex subject as its implementation varies as per the type of product and services offered by the organization. It is mainly focused on digital marketing for the promotion of services while FMCG products need to be promoted through the traditional approaches. In-Store promotion is being done directly by the manufacturer and sometimes by the store owners also. The supermarket owners generally run the campaign when they have got some attractive incentive policy from the manufacturer. They also offer the product as a freebie to those customers who shop above a minimum threshold value from the supermarket. Departmental store marketing can be done in many ways and it is an effective way to establish connections directly with the consumers. It helps in rapidly gaining market share as the awareness increases at a very rapid pace due to word-of-mouth advertisement. In the past several nascent brands have become leading market players by simply using effective brand promotion policy. In the early stages, the brand might have to face cash burn due to advertisement campaign but in the long run, profitability can increase rapidly once it gains consumer acceptance.

It is a workforce extensive task as the company representative and the cook shall be physically present at the leading stores of the country. Then cooking arrangement needs to be done by using an electric cooktop so that preparation can be carried out at ease. The serving bowl should be made of disposable material so that it can be scrapped easily after a single use. The customer should be made to taste the sample product at the store itself along with some complimentary sachets. The sachets will help to increase the confidence among the consumers when they cook the item in their kitchen. Another important thing is the customer feedback form which should be mandatorily filled up from the flying customer tasting the product. The genuine product will help the company to understand the response from the consumer. The constructive feedback can be used by the R&D team to further improve the product experience. However, the larger packet should be sold for a discounted price so that some revenue can also be generated along with the campaign. Health drinks need to be promoted along with attractive gift items for kids so that they can create interest among the target audience.

The placement of the product must be done in the store in such a manner that it can be easily visible to the shoppers. The best place to market the product is by placing it near the entrance itself and at eye level.
