Flames place Jaromir Jagr on injured reserve recall Mark Jan

What looked to be a pedestrian hockey play has now left the Calgary Flames without a veteran, top-line forward.

After Jaromir Jagr left Calgary's game on Saahdiq Charles Jerseys Saturday against the Minnesota Wild with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Monday that ithas placed the 45-year-old winger on injured-reserve due to that injury.

In a subsequent move, the Flames recalled forward Mark Jankwoski from AHL Stockton.

"Today I spoke with our medical guys and Jagr and its coming real, real good," said head coach Glen Gulutzan. "We think itll probably be about a week and he should be back."
