Blues vs. Bruins results St. Louis wins first Stanley Cup en

The St. Louis Blues rode hot goaltending from Jordan Binnington and some Juwan Howard Jersey opportunistic offense to stun the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 7 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday. The Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period despite being heavily outshot, and they never looked back as Binnington continued to stymie waves of Bruins attack, while his teammates were relentle s in playing a physical brand of hockey.

A cagey second period saw no goals between either team, leading to a wide open third period as the desperate Bruins pushed forward. As was the case throughout the contest, Binnington stood tall in the final frame,and his teammates took advantage of the increased opportunities as they put the game away with two more goals.

By the time the Bruins finally found a way past Binnington, it was too late. The celebrations had already begun in fan viewing parties in St. Louis, and the team was able to join in on the fun on the ice in Boston as the horn sounded to confirm the Blues' first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

12:03 - PENALTY. Colton Parayko puts the puck over the gla s from the defensive zone, and gets called for dekay of game. Boston to the power play.

10:11 - Bruins are throwing everything at Binnington right now. It's a mystery how they haven't scored on this power play. The rookie is up for it!

OReilly is the third player in NHL history - and first in 53 years - to score his teams opening goal in four consecutive games during a Stanley Cup Final. Torontos Sid Smith did so in 1951 (Games 1-4) followed by Detroits Norm Ullman in 1966 (Games 3-6).
