Gluten Free Cake  Recipe


3/4 cup cocoa powder and 1/2 cups jowar flour

Add a little salt

one tablespoon of baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

3/4 cups of vegetable oil

1/2-ounces of caster sugar

1/2 cup of yoghurt

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

milk, 1/4 cup


Sift the jowar flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Leave this alone.

Combine sugar and oil in a different bowl. Mix this thoroughly with a whisk until it is airy and frothy into the combination of sugar and oil.

Yogurt and vanilla essence should be added. Additionally, combine this well.

Using a spatula, carefully fold in half of the dry mixture that was previously set aside.

Mix the milk thoroughly into the batter before adding it. Finally, add the remaining dry ingredients, and stir until there are no visible flour pockets.

Put the batter into two 6" round pans with parchment paper lining and butter.

A skewer inserted should come out clean after 35 to 40 minutes of baking the gluten free cake at 180°C.

To make the frosting, place the softened butter in a large basin and beat it vigorously with an electric mixer.

Beat till fluffy and light. Beat again after adding the food colouring and rose extract.

Sift the icing sugar in, first incorporating it with a spatula and then whisking it in completely with an electric mixer.

Layer the cakes and spread the icing once they have totally cooled. enjoy!
