Do you want to buy a new house? It's possible that you'd be happier eschewing city life in favor of rural existence. Most of the ZIP codes that buyers are interested in this year are located in smaller towns, according to a new analysis by Realtor.com that analyzed the locations with the most viewed listings on the site, increasing demand year over dordle year, and listing price increases. And you'll find most of them in and around New England and the rest of the East Coast.

Realtor.com's chief economist, Danielle Hale, told Travel + Leisure that "nationwide, the real estate market is shifting as buyers navigate higher housing costs driven by mortgage rates and home prices and potential sellers grapple with economic uncertainty stemming from high inflation and policy responses to combat it." However, in certain regions (especially more cheap ZIP codes) buyers might still find a competitive real estate market and a decent deal on a property.

In June 2022, the median listing price in the 14618 ZIP code in Brighton, New York, which is in Monroe County and located just outside of Rochester, is 5,000. Properties in this area typically remain on the market for just six days. According to the data, local purchasers have excellent credentials. Their typical income is 6,150, and their credit scores average 745.

Nashua, New Hampshire's 03681 is the second-most-popular postal code in the US, located only 42 miles from Boston. According to statistics provided by Realtor.com, in the first half of this year, Nashua listings had 4.60 times as many views as the national average and sold 23 days quicker than the average U.S. house (7 days against 40 days). Nashua had a median listing price of 6,000 in June 2022, more than the median listing price of 0,000 throughout the country.
