A sibling can be your friend, rival or part-time coach. It's no secret that siblings share a love-hate relationship. For instance, if a brother is watching a cricket match on TV and suddenly your sister comes and changes the channel, all hell breaks loose! Or, one sibling may have a great outfit to wear for a party, but the other doesn't have and believes in this old saying, 'What's yours is mine.' Sounds all too familiar, right?

Add one more to our bucket list - a potential business partner! Yes, you heard that right! This Raksha Bandhan, Myntra caught up with four companies which siblings run. They gave their experience of working together as business partners. Let's hear them out:

1. Suta

Taken from the first two letters of the sister duo Sujata (Su) and Taniya (Ta) Biswas, Suta's journey was crafted when the siblings were enchanted with the magical process of saree-making by weavers in West Bengal. Apart from that, the fondness for their grandmother's sarees during their childhood further blossomed the love for this six yards of elegance. They gave up their well-paid corporate jobs to create a brand that makes elegant sarees while supporting the weaver community.

According to Sujata, Taniya is more shopaholic. Sujata said that her sister buys things not only for herself but for her neighbours and their neighbours too!

2. Campus Sutra

The idea of Campus Sutra cropped up when three siblings - Aditya Agarwal, Khushboo Agarwal and Sonal Agarwal went on a trip to Goa and began talking about starting their own company. While discussing, they realised that the Indian apparel market, mainly targetting Gen Z, was not kept up to date with current fashion trends. That's when Campus Sutra was born.

The Agarwal siblings believe that working with siblings is akin to working like best buddies. The trio said they would fight over many things and disagree on specific points, but everything returns to normal at home. Interestingly, the Agarwal siblings said they have the best fashion sense but Khushboo is the best in shopping!

Aditya's marketing acumen, Sonal's designing skills and Khushboo's financial expertise are the building blocks of Campus Sutra, which is now an established and leading apparel and accessories maker. The unique skill sets of the trio are a beautiful example of what they can do when they unite to produce such tremendous results.

3. Erotissch

Let's meet the sister duo of Aayuushi and Anushka Agarwal, the founders of Erotissch, which specialises in intimate and nightwear apparel. Through this brand, the Agarwal sisters offer women a platform to express their true selves and confidently and courageously enhance their femininity. The duo looked at each other and smiled when asked about the experience of working with a sibling.

Aayuushi and Anushka said they literally didn't know each other well when they decided to start the business together. They also revealed that there were many issues on which they had disagreed earlier. Elaborating on this experience, the sisters stated that while they realised they were different, but made of the 'same ingredients. They said the most important thing about working with a sibling is the close bonding and understanding between each other.

4. Amrutam

Amrutam is an Ayurvedic lifestyle brand and wellness community wherein siblings Agnim Gupta and Stuti Gupta took over from their father's business in 2016 and overhauled the company, such as re-branding products and integrating the firm into the digital business sphere. The duo decided to collaborate with Myntra to cater to a larger audience.

Describing their experience working with a sibling, Stuti said that she and her brother follow two approaches to resolving any issue, which has greatly helped them. She believed that their methods of approaching any matter complement one another regarding problem-solving. Among the brother-sister duo, Stuti is the bigger shopaholic who is always ready to shop online, check out, and try new offers.
