The Rijksmuseum is a Dutch national museum in Amsterdam. Housed in three buildings, the main building is on the Museumplein, and two other buildings are located at the Nicolaas Witsenkade in Amsterdam North.

Since 2013, the museum's director has been Danielle van Bruggen. The Rijksmuseum today possesses around 600,000 paintings, drawings and prints dating from the Middle Ages to the present day and an extensive collection of international art dating from antiquity to the 1900s. The museum also has an extensive collection of prints, engravings, and numerous art objects. The Rijksmuseum also boasts the Amsterdam Museum Collection, with over 28,000 objects dating from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Entry costs €15, although this includes free entry to most museums on Museumplein. Concessions are available for those aged 5-18, seniors over 65 and Dutch students. Special concessions are available for disabled people with 90%.

How To Get There
